in training for a marathon, one thing that i have learned is that you have to have the proper diet (high carb, high protien, low fat) the nutrition link in this website was very helpful for me. its on the left hand side, underneath "training corner". that whole section is pretty good for getting you started. also, it wouldnt be a bad idea to see a general physician before you start any kind of vigorous training and a new diet. i talked to my doc and he gave some advice on things for me to be careful about. To go with what MsIda said...take it slow. Good Luck!!
