Hi. I ran in two small marathons; one had 82 runners and the other had 415.
I found that the mid-pack runner (3-4 hours) had plenty of folks to run with; but those under 2:50 or so, and those over, say, 4:30, were kind of lonely.
So, I'd say that this depends on you (do you LIKE being part of a large crowd) and your pace.
Actually, I'd love to do the Sunburst someday, if my schedule would permit it.
You might also see what the other races are as many marathons run 5K's and 1/2's along with the main event (which gives a supply of folks to run with)
