If I plan to run the half as a training run (where it would be a 10miler in my schedule that day) would it still not be recommended. It will be my first Marathon but not my first half. The half is a date I've already booked, paid for and planned on. I am doing a family half marathon trip to Virginia Beach Labor Day weekend.
I was planning to run my first Marathon in December but there are some scheduling conflicts. I'm trying to decide where and when I want to switch my marathon to. If 5 weeks really is too short how much time between a half and a full would you recommend?
