as a central florida runner, I will highly recommend the Space Coast Marathon in Cocoa Beach, Fl. held in late November.
Flat course, you run along a river and catch sea breezes, only costs $50 and held to a maximum of 750 runners.
Of course there always is the rat race where you run with 20,000 people (takes 10+ minutes just to get to the starting line) and spending more than $100.
