Thanks everyone! I really appreciate all the feedback. After careful consideration I have decided to try a half-marathon in October. So far I have been running 3-4 times per week with my longer runs being around 10-12k. My knees are holding up well, thanks in part to the ice cold bath i sit in post run!, and I am feeling great. I am sticking with the idea of not increasing my mileage by more than 10% each week. I have been doing a minute walk every 15 minutes although I do some times forget to check the time and end up running for 30 minutes straight. Thanks for all the encouragement and feedback!!!!!!!
