Trish - thanks for your comments. After seeing your post yesterday I went to the Nike Marathon website and sent an email asking for clarification.
Well you know what else I checked? The online registration form indicates there are 2 categories of entrants: Male or Female
I think that answered my question...
This is disappointing because I planned on running Nike 26.2 based on the "Marathon for Women" advertising. I would've been ticked off come race day to find out men were in the race as well and that I had entered under misleading circumstances.
I'm considering running the Chicago Marathon now since it is also in October.
