I did a 5k that fit in with the end of week 2 of my training schedule and I think it was a very bad idea. I got out there and essentially ran much faster than I should have. Heck, I almost placed in my age division :)
I then got out Sunday and did my 5 miler (start of week 3) and my heel really started to hurt me along the way. I slowed down, and it seemed to ease up a bit, but never quite went away. I'm afraid of what I've done...
In August of 2002 I stretched my achilles a bit and had to do some rehab and I think this is probably a re-injury of the same problem. I have an appointment today with a Dr. and will let you guys know what's up. I feel pretty good and could possibly do my 4 mile tomorrow(and really WANT to) but thought I should at least get it checked out. This is really bumming me out a lot.
Sympathy? Suggestions? Trae
