doing speed work was not part of your training - especially only two weeks after you started running.
Anyway, sorry to hear it knocked you out of the ball game. Do a lot of reading on running while your recuperating. It will psyche you up to get on the road again.
And when you do hit the road again, DON'T run faster than 10 minutes per mile!
