Sprinting hills is like lifting heavy weights. You can go ahead and run the hills, just don't sprint them. Try to keep the same turn over in your stride but with much smaller steps. Your pace will slow and that is o.k. On the way down, lean forward a bit and let the hill pull you down. Be careful to not over stride.
Once you have built up a substantial mileage base, you can do some faster hill running (10k pace?) as a way of building leg strength. But this hill work should be gradual and include short rests after each hill either by slowly jogging down the other side or walking down.
