I have been training for my first Marathon since January. I do one weekly long run of up to 20 miles, two speed work sessions a week with a total mileage of about 35m. I have been experiencing occassional sugar cravings that cause me to literally binge on anything sweet about once every two weeks. I usually stick to a quality diet the rest of the time with about 2200 cals a day. Has anyone else had these issues? Am I not taking in enough calories during the week, which causes these intense sugar cravings? I have lost only about 3 pounds since the start of my training and am worried that these binges will effect my training and upcoming marathon. Any info would be appreciated!
