Thank you for the response. I posted before, but I wanted to address some issues...I DO NOT warm up before the race. I am (obviously) a novice and I've relied mostly on the direction of my partner who's encouraged me to do long distance running. He thinks exerting any energy before the race is "wasted." I know that sounds ridiculous, but he does. For the Motorola, my husband will be doing a dynamic warm up with stretches, despite my partner's comments. Also, the running shoes are not the problem. I've had them for 2 months. However, I bought another pair and broke them in for the Motorola for insurance. Also, I wanted to tell you that you summed up my problem to the tee w/how I lost the spring in my leg....sooo true.
Well, I look forward to giving this race another shot...wish me luck, I need it! haha! abby
