I honestly don't know how long it will take; all I know is that Daniels has a formula that tells you the following:

IF you have clearance to start up again and if you've been out for N weeks, then you do "a" weeks at a certain level, "b" weeks at the next level, "c" weeks at the next level and so on. You also are given a formula by which you are to adjust your speedwork, etc.

But, having had NO experience with this, and having no medical credentials, I honestly don't know. I do know that the runners world web site has an "injury" BB, and that Peak Performance Online has an excellent "free" feature

http://www.pponline.co.uk/

which has loads of recovery from setbacks advice.

Good luck, and for heaven sakes, don't rush things!
