Cotaxone injection for Plantar Fasciitis

I have been dealing with Plantar Fasciitis since Sept.03. Progress is very slow with lots of ups and downs. Have been doing strengthening execrices, deep grain massage, icing and stretching. I spoke to someone who knows a woman in Hartford who took a Cortaxone shot in the heel. Through google I found the shot as a possible 2nd, 3rd or last option. There were also possible risks mentioned in some. I am looking for advice, especially from somone who has had first hand experience with the shot in the heel. I have been keeping up with minimum running and more time off. Also use half sole arch support inserts. These helped me through Marine Corps and New York marathon. Put me out of my misery please :) Thanks.
