Well in that case you really have two options--

Race the Jan half to your fullest, then followup 3 weeks later at Motorola in social run mode with your training partner.

OR...use the Jan half to assess your true fitness level which will clearly determine whether you need to have a heart-to-heart about shared (or independent) Motorola goals/aspirations.
