... consider that this is not only your first marathon, but your first "organized race" as well. I have never (never) heard of anyone not being at least a tad nervous before a first race. And what usually happens is that the runner suddenly feels sluggish, worries about his health, worries about the weather, and so on.
You have trained well. You have prepared well. You have done the work, now it's showtime. JUst go out there and enjoy it...
But one piece of advice: whatever you do, start slowly. Hold back (don't listen to your urges) during the first kilometers - you will not regret it.
