Excellent ultimate goal but before going the marathon distance there is nothing wrong with training to run 5K - 13 Mile races. Shorter runs will make your body just as fit and won't cause the stress on your legs that come with marathon training and racing. Why do you feel the need to train at 5:00 AM? If getting up this early is too much of a hardship and causes you to not get enough sleep it may be difficult to consistently train and consistent training is what you need to be able to finish a marathon.
