Hello runners...I am about to begin organizing the upcoming Moulay-Marathon and am seeking an experienced race director. As you are aware, the Moulay-Marathon is a 24,000+ mile run around the world at the equator. Moulay described the race in another post, but to recap, it will begin on Eastern Long Island (New York), and will progress Southeast to the equator. At that point, we will circumnavigate the globe heading East...(yes, oceans and all!). Moulay believes that this will be the first run around the entire circumference of the world. As Moulay said in his previous post, "The run will probably be more difficult than it sounds", but it should be a lot of hard work and lots of hard fun too! We would like to get the race underway no later than two weeks from Friday (2/2/01), so please respond immediately so we can make all of the (insurance) arrangements. As Moulay said earlier "I actually think that there's a chance that we might do it!". Wow; just imagine! When asked during an ESPN interview about crossing the oceans, Moulay responded "No doubt, there are a few remaining obstacles, but we will figure them out". Wow, such confidence. Moulay and I want to thank you in advance for your participation. We are prepared to contact your employers or schools to help arrange for your "paid" time-off", and are currently involved in diplomatic negotiations with any hostile countries in which we will have to run in our quest for our circumnavigation of the earth!
