I see where you are coming from with the walk times. I did that ten mile run at a slower than normal pace. If I do walk breaks for a ten mile run, I do a 5 or 6/1 run/walk ratio with the real long runs it is 3 or 4/1.

My 5k race times (around 25:44) predict 4:20 according to Galloway and as quick as 4:10 according to others. My time goal for the marathon is around 4:30. Of course, I still have two months to go in training so we'll see how it goes. Right now I'm more interested in feeling good rather than speed. I don't do any of my training runs at full speed.

I agree with you about the negative splits. I always try to run negative splits in both training runs and in races.
