Set up winter training schedule. need some advice

Well, that's two marathons within one month! Amazing! Very proud of you. Go for it.

I just did Portland Marathon and a local marathon relay.

This was my first relay ever. Each one, two men and two women co-ed team, did approx. 10 k. That's was a easy distance to do. In addition, each got the chance to be the onlooker and cheerleader. It was fun.

Right now I am trying to design my winter training schedule. I want to fit some downhill skiing into the training schedule I picked from the website. I like to get ready for Boston and like to do some skiing in the winter time also.

I wonder if I ski for 4 days, shall I delay the training for a week ? or take skiing as crosstraining to continue the schedule ?

Anyone, had mix other sport activity with training and with some insight to share?

Mentally, I would not think I could be ready for any marathon, if I do not put ~18 week of training into it. I wonder how can one run more than one marahton a year, let along two in a month. Wow!

SMP, Can you tell me your story about how you ran from the first marathon to now of two within a month.

How did you progress ? How do you train?
