It takes one to know one? Then there would be no four-eyed eye doctors, no male gynecologists, and how come the best running coach I ever had had coached only swimming before?
The man had a valid question - a serious one too. I thnk to suggest he see another doctor was a good suggestion but to disqualify all non-running doctors was a bit extreme.
Now, if you REALLY had wanted to be helpful, you would have suggested that he consult our girl-scout and her newbie sidekick.
