Your message here was just what I needed to hear. I have been riding a rollercoaster of hope and despair about the possibility of improving my marathon time enough to BQ. I've been feeling that menopause has wreaked havoc with my running. One week I'll set a PR, the next I'll run a minute per mile slower. I too am dealing with an injury that made me consider abandoning my BQ quest. What kind of injuries did you have to overcome? Were you able to run through them? How long was your training schedule? Did you use a particular marathon training program? Congratulations on your BQ. I know you will really enjoy Boston. I was able to go to Boston last year to support my running partner who, by the way, qualified on his 70th birthday. The Boston marathon experience was great. I hope someday I can actually run it instead of just watching. Thanks again for the inspiration!
