I am wishing to train for my first marathon next fall when trying the Chicago Marathon. I am able to run at the 1/2 marathon distance with some challenge but wish to increase my stamina for this next year's training. I am 44 and wishing to continue training over the fall and winter. I must cut back my running time to 3-4 times per week with a long run on the weekend. Any suggestions for the stamina increase to push over 13 miles?
