Zeke's plan sounds reasonable if all you want to do is finish the half and not race it.

I did my first half marathon only 6 weeks into my base building period, and I paid dearly for it in an injury. If I had to do it over again with the same amount of training, I would have held myself back early on in the race and saved my energy for the last few miles. Remember, at this point it's all about covering the distance rather than making a set time. Good luck to you!
