Sounds familiar here; I've been at it for 24 years. A big, big help for me was deciding to move most of my workouts from roads & sidewalks to dirt trails and golf courses. Perhaps this is something you are already doing to some extent. Since I've moved away from the harder surfaces, my legs now feel 10 years younger.
