I first got the hip free with a chiropractor (I now see one every 6 weeks as a preventative). I also got orthodics made professionally. They do seem to help a lot. But this race season is over for me. I'm looking towards next year. LET YOURSELF HEAL. I have run for 16 years. I figure it's OK it relax one year if it will allow me to run many more. Yes, I had to pull out of races I normally do and love to do. Try swimming, biking, lifting to stay in shape and keep exercise as part of your lifestyle. Stay in it for the long haul, not just one race. Oh, yeah - STRETCH morning, noon and night, especially the calf. Best of luck.
