Ah come on, dispence with the jogging breaks and join the walkers! :-)
Actually, I found that hard walking, once I learned some of the technique, gave me much of the areobic pump that running did, and my knees don't ache anymore. :-)
In fact, I did a 8 x 400 walking workout today and got the lungs burning.
You signed yourself "Midwestern Gal"; I know that there are active walking groups in Indiana, Chicago, Naperville, St. Louis, Des Moines and Milwaukee (actually Parkside).as well as in large parts of Ohio.
