Hi, Let your body tell you if you should run. DO NOT attempt 18 miles if you have a fever, but if it's just a cold, and you dress properly, go out and see how you feel. I wouldn't suggest that you run the milage for milage sake at the expense of your health, but if you feel ok and if you DON'T HAVE A FEVER, go for it! No matter what you do, I do hope you have a happy and healthy New Year! Bambi
