I agree with Michele. I have been running marathons since 1997. My first one was Big Sur, California. It was a long, hard ardrous run that I was grateful to finish in one piece. I did not start using the Galloway method until about 2 years ago, and it has been a blessing ever since. I used to dread running marathons every time I signed up for them prior to incorporating the Galloway method into my marathons. I was running my marathons to try and stay up with the multitude of marathons that my mom has completed. However, it seemed that I would inevitably finish the races in a lot of pain and much slower than I wanted. My hips and knees were screaming and I was never very happy at the end of the race. Oddly enough, I decided to do my first marathon using the Galloway method at the Flying Pigs marathon in Cincinnati, OH with Michele. It was by far the best I have ever felt after a race and my time improved. I spend a lot less time in pain after the races now that I use his method. I do not think I am any less of a marathoner than Khallid or any of the other marathoners out there. Quite the contrary, I am smarter because I am conserving my body in order to be able to keep running these races. My time continues to get better and I look forward to more marathons. It has definitely changed my attitude about running marathons and I encourage all of you to try it.
