E-mail just sent (5/22/03 at 2:45pm):
John and Thumper,
Is there a solution to the mess on the bulletin board? I'm marking a lot of things for deletion. So is someone else, so it must be Thumper. As Thumper suggested, would it be possible to get "editor" powers before the Board completely self destructs. "Editor" power could be as simple as messages marked for deletion actually disappearing instantly, rather than appearing in red. I would suggest that such messages disappear on everyone's screen, but not our screens. For us, the messages could continue to appear in red. Then, if your employee liked the deleted messages, he or she could reinstate them. A reinstated message might appear on Thumper's and my screens in, say, green, so that we would know that we have been overridden. :-)
The other excellent suggestion by members of the BB is that everyone log in with a unique screen name. Then we would know the name shown is not simply hijacked.
Another suggestion would be to seek out more monitors to bring more diversity to the editorial process. Say someone fast, someone young, someone female, etc.
Thanks!
----------- Think it will work? I hope so! Now, I'm going running!
Dave W.
