Diagnosed with PFPS in April after completing my first marathon. I took 3 weeks off and heavy does of ibuprofen. Started back and the pain returned after a week. Weight training and ice after the run is helping but the recovery is not progressing. I'm wondering if perhaps there is more I can do ? I'm 6'2" 167lbs, 37 y/o. with slightly high arches. I'm running in New Balance 1022's. Should I consider different shoes ?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
