Ollie, I'm not sure that any second workout at all, is as important as the "quality" of the first workout. It is my belief that if you are swimming as a means to improving your running, you are making a mistake. Instead, I think that your swimming is great for all of the benefits that you'll get from it, but for improvement in your running, it is running that you must do. If you are a runner first (and from what I've heard from you, you are) then concentrate on improving your running. Use swimming for what it is...a supplemental means to improving your overall fitness. ...just my opinion. Bambi
