I've gone off subject in the past so I might be the wrong messenger. There are problems with the way this board is set up. It is one individual, who I don't what to pay attention to, who has mostly posted about reproductive activity. When he posted under his DegenerateRunner name I could see the name and avoid clicking there. When he posts under a silly name as recently he has done then I at least can avoid clicking there because it is DegenerateRunner posting under that silly name. Recently he has posted under the names of regular contributors and this is a problem because I click on the regular name but what is posted is DegenerateRunner comments masquerading as the regular contributor. About 6 months ago he posted under a regular name and had this person say things that he wouldn't say. I ask Degenerate Runner to post under one name only and the readers who like to read his observations can do so.

Marathon Guide should follow the example of the Runner's World BB page. Make each reader register his name and submit a password known only to that name. The person posting can still be anonymous but he would not be able to post stuff like "I want to jam a ______________ in (bulletin board contributor) ________'s _______." and sign the name "Dave from Oakton, Va".

That would not be possible if the name were registered with a password.

A way is needed to cut down on the made up names for one post only. If only one name could be registered for each email address this might cut down on that. People can obtain many email addresses but this takes time and maybe this would discourage them.
