I ran this course twice, I think it was in '97 and '95. The race is small to medium in size with a solid group of runners. For better or worse there is also a medley which means that after the half way point you get a few people scooting past you (which I do not like) but it makes for a better event.

The course is relatively flat, mostly in the country and varies quite a bit despite this.

I like the course and race. There are not many people to cheer one on and you can be out there alone for a while. Still, it is well organized, varied in dimension and somewhat fast. It is very different from the Twin Cities Marathon but better than average I think. Most important to you I think it is a faster course than TCM for example.

I may be there myself in spring if I can get off the injured list.
