Preston,

I had a reasonable track career and then had about 4 years off with a bad injury amongst other things. It takes a while to get back into it especially as you start comparing what you do now with what you were able to to before. I found it better to do less rather than more as that just invited injury again. The beginners schedules in the Marathon press are a good start and if you find youre coping easily you can always move up to something more advanced. Having run before should give you a good start point. Good luck with the comeback.
