SMP’s right on.

I’m the good friend that she is referring to. As fitness instructors, both SMP and I use our voices a lot and often have a mild cases of laryngitis, but it doesn’t affect our ability to workout when we teach or train so we know the problem is not in our lungs.

I am a personal trainer as well and I should have known better to back off on my own training when my bronchitis started acting up. But the race we were training for was only a few weeks away and, to be honest, sometimes thinking you know a lot about pushing the human body can be a detriment. While SMP kicked serious butt on race day, I was laid up in bed with pneumonia. Please don’t make the same mistake I did by not having gone to see a doctor sooner. Better to be safe than sorry. Good luck.
