Sandi had asked (a few months ago) about people's favorite finisher's medals. Mine was not a medal; it was a yellow-gold windbreaker that you got for finishing the now-defunct Maryland Marathon (1980). At subsequent races, lots of runners wore their jackets to warm up in; we'd throw "knowing nods" at each others as we jogged past.
