Neil- I also considered the Napa Valley 2001 but chose LA instead. Napa Valley is a beautiful, point to point course that is mostly slightly downhill with two gradual hills in the middle. Last year it was raining in the morning and cleared up by noon. I have never run the entire course, but have family there so have experienced workouts on most portions of the course. I chose LA for the same reason you didn't - I want to be part of the big crowd and entertainment. Hope you enjoy Napa Valley. It really is gorgeous. Good luck on March 4!
