Hey Beginner'

I dont know the answer to the treadmill training question but i can tell you what has worked for me. I train about twic a week on the treadmill just for 34-40 mins. I think it reduces the jarring you get from the roads and give the legs a less stressful workout. If you think its a warm up issue do you train in the right gear? Youre muscle should warm up pretty quick as you begin you run. Have you tried warming up inside and then running outside? If its a jarring issue you could try running off road to ease the pressure on the legs. Also treadmills can have strange calibrations which is related to you weight and may not reflect the true distance of your run. On a positive note i have a fried who only trained on a treadmill and recntly did a 2:55 marathon. Good luck with the training

Rob
