I am presently working on 50 States. In the past 11 months I have completed 11 states–will be doing Seattle in December for my 12th in 2002. I did the MCM a few years ago so the overall total is thirteen. I am 52 (female) so would like to get them all done before too long. I have yet to join either club, but have my applications ready for both. I have met some really great folks from the organization in my travels so far and always run into someone I remember from a previous marathon. I find this is the new activity for retirees! Here are the two sites: 50 States Marathon Club (50statesmarathonclub.com) and the Group is 50anddcmarathongroup. I have asked several people which club to join and find most people belong to both. I understand they started out as the same group and split for some reason. Both require 10 marathons and both charge only $10.00 to join. Good luck!!!
