Hi! I too am thinking of those half-marathons; they do take a toll on the body. I am wondering on how many miles a week you run, and for how long you've done that.

Here is an example from my past: I went through a period where I ran a marathon three weeks after a training marathon (a bad idea, in retrospect). Nevertheless, prior the marathon running 20 miles was easy. But, when I tried to build back up a few weeks later, 14 slow miles seemed impossibly hard!

Anyway, my guess is that the "bonk" was a combination of things; going out too hard and having a couple of quality long runs too soon ago for you to have completely recovered.
