Runner's Knee

For the past month I've been dealing with chrondomalacia of the patella (runner's knee). I've gone to a physical therapist, been doing the prescribed exercises (mostly of the 30% squat variety) and stretches as much as possible, and have even started taking Glucosimine/Chondrotin. I'd been seeing some improvement, but after an 8 miler this weekend (I worked my way up to this distance gradually over 2 weeks, prior to the injury I'd been doing long runs of up to 20 miles) the pain returned to pre-therapy level.

Any suggestions out there? Any good exercises or stretches that seemed to help get you over this? How long will this injury take to heal? Will I need to do these exercises forever?

This injury's got me pretty frustrate! Prior to this I've had near perfect knees.
