The Humboldt Marathon does offer a half marathon, but not (apparently?) in May. There are two websites you can use to check out both the full marathon in May and the full / half in October. They are: http://www.northcoast.com/~hrm/ (for the October full / half marathons) and http://www.humboldt1.com/~avenue/. I've considering running the half as well since I've never run a marathon but didn't want to wait until next October. Post a reply on the Bulletin Board
