Marcie, AZ has many great running opportunities. If you live in the East Valley, you are welcome to come and run with us. I am on the Lost Dutchman Marathon committee (lostdutchmanmarathon.org) and coach HS cross country. We meet for long runs at 6:15 on Saturday mornings at Prospector Park in Apache Junction. We have people with various ability levels and can help individualize a long run for you. Folks who have run with us include our team members, a few of there parents and myself. We welcome anyone who would like to join us. The pace is run very slow. The next three weeks (beginning 9/29)we have Saturday invitational meets. After these we will continue to have long runs up to the LDM in January. Please feel free to contact me if this interests you.
