My first marathon is coming up and the rules said no headphones were allowed. I'm new to this marathon business, so I was wondering. Why this rule? Is this a rule for all marathons, including Olympics? What is the reason? Unfair performance enhancement? Possible communication with teammates? A safety issue? Who knows the scoop?
