This decision for NYRRC to not cancel the 2012 New York Marathon is a public relations disaster for the running world. Doomberg and the NYRRC apparently cannot see beyond fear of lost money. Do not be surprised if there are people who eventually sue NYRRC and Doomberg for any number of reasons ... this is as bad of a decision on the part of NYRRC and Doomberg as the Penn State administration was in the way they handled the Jerry Sandusky case.
