Yes, I've run both races. I tried Lakefront after Chicago exceeded fields of 20,000...and I'll never return to the Windy City. If you are adverse to massive fields you will truly enjoy Lakefront. It starts north of the city, rolls through countryside, and finishes along Lake Michigan in Milwaukee. Because it's a linear course, and has an overall elevation drop, you ought to run a fast time as well. Just don't tell everyone about this gem.
