If you are looking for a nicely run small marathon, the Hatfield McCoy is perfect. The people are very nice and make you feel like an elite athlete, even after you have run 6 hours! While the course is hilly, it's not that bad. And all runners get a cool medal as well as a Mason Jar with your finishing place. And there's no time limit so you can enjoy the sights. If I ever do a duplicate race, this would be one I would consider. You also get to be a Hatfield or a McCoy for a day. "No feudin' just runnin'. Great job by the organizers of this marathon last weekend.
