Wow,great story. If I may,let me share a simular one. A few years back,at the Utica Boilermaker 15k, the race director came on the stage as people were enjoying the post race party. He announced that there was a young wheelchair athlete about a mile from the finish and was having a difficult time and could we head over to support this young man. Coming down the hill to the finish,tv crew overhead in a helecopter and ambulance following, he was pushing a regular steel wheelchair! He crossed the line and the EMT's put a bag of ice on his lap and took him away..I balled my eyes out but am so glad I got to see this. As this was a televised event some word was that some company seen it also a donated a athletic wheelchair to this young athlete.
