The registration transfer process is not so straightforward, but not too bad. There is a $25 transfer fee per bib that is paid the weekend of the race.
Here is my understanding of the instructions for transfer of registration:
1. I will fill out a Registration Transfer Letter for each ticket. 2. Then I will give the completed letter, along with the Confirmation Ticket (which is supposed to be mailed out sometime in the next week or so) to you. 3. Then all you have to do is bring the Registration Transfer Letter and the Confirmation Ticket to the race Expo on May 4 or May 5, and give these items to the volunteer at Race Number Pick-Up and receive the original participants' Race Number in return. 4. Lastly, you take the Race Number to Runner Services along with the Registration Transfer Letter, pay the $25 Registration Transfer fee and have the registration transferred into your name.
I live in Shadyside, and have a very flexible schedule for meeting up to make an exchange.
