Lately, my toes have taken a beating running in warmer weather. They get so painful that it slows my pace dramatically. I guess my feet swell some and make my regular long run/race shoes (Asics Speedstar 5s) too tight. I'm running Boston again this year and fear it may be a warm race. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this.. socks? lubicrant? etc.. I guess one simple answer would be new shoes with a wider toe box. But the Speedstars have been my "go to" shoe for years.. hate to switch.. but I am open to suggestions in that regard too. Thanks very much!
